May in Ovacik makes the whole village extra beautiful because the winter season is finally over and spring is here. It is now warmer, brighter and more exciting! If you are planning to visit this quiet little village, then you are in for a treat.

Although nights can still be a bit chilly, it will be a welcome change from the warm and sunny days. The sun shines at 10 full hours in Ovacik now so the days are much longer.

This leaves you so much time to do all the things that you want. If you are into walking or cycling, the foot of the Babadag Mountain is perfect. It has luscious pine forests to explore. Take it up a notch by hiking because it is a great start point for all mountaineers out there.

If you are into arts and culture, you can stop over by Fethiye Museum to marvel at the ancient artefacts that is preserved from the old city of Telmessos, a great city where Fethiye is now located. Visit the Fethiye Hellenistic Theatre, a beautiful ruin of the once majestic theatre of Telmessos.

As for the water sports where this village is famous for, you can make your way to the amazing beaches of Ovacik! Why not begin by sun bathing to get a tan or how about parasailing? If you're worried about the rain, there is about 11 mm precipitation so that's only 4 days of rainfall, which is not most likely to happen during your visit.
