Silver Anniversary in Pollenca with our grown up daughters. It was fantastic. We had our Honeymoon in Port Pellenca and the place had changed dramatically but the locals still as friendly.

The weather was extremely nice sunny days. We stayed in a Villa Plus property which was lovely.
The pool wasn't heated so it was best to take a dip between 12-5pm so the sun could warm it up a little.Holiday
The holiday was everything we wanted in a break.
Plenty of places to see and things to do in the day time and nice places to go for cocktail or a meal in the evening.
The local people are very friendly and spoke good English so if you couldn't or didn't want to speak Spanish it didn't matter.Recommend Majorca to others?

Weather was excellent with no rain at all. Holidays were taken mostly in June but one year it was August - very hot around midday.

Excellent, this will be our 6th visit to Majorca. first time to Porto Colom which was too quiet for me.
2nd visit was to C'an Picafort where there was a lovely long beach and prom which I liked. We have gone four times with extended family and rented a villa in Cala d'Or.
Cala d'Or is a family resort with a few beachy coves so there is no promenade by the sea to walk along (which i like). There is a pedestrianised area with many restaurants as well as plenty of shops and supermarkets.
We walked a little bit further to the big supermarket used by the locals. The marina was a bit of a walk for us but seemingly more restaurants around there too.
We did not see any young people there to drink and party as it was mostly families with kids.
We usually stay in the Cala Ferrera area which is close to beaches and a very short walk to Cala d'Or centre.
I would recommend having air conditioning in your accommodation.Recommend Majorca to others?

arrived 20th august 2013 to beautiful warm weather. by the Saturday was at its peak of 38..unfortunately this was followed by 2 days of thunderstorms and torrential rain putting a slight blur on things...visit alcudia, amazing beach but stay away fromthe Bellevue.

Great hol but arrived tired and hungry to the bellevue club , NO ACCOMODATION although booked last october was told by manager ushering us into taxi to another hotel, tis is august and we should expect this ???? unbelievable , All moneymaking double booking greedy people. Had us back there the folloing day but ahd now missed day and half holiday
BUT alcudia is stunning place.Recommend Majorca to others?

We went in may so the weather was ok.we got about three days of sunshine although the other days were interrupted by cloud. It was always warm probably low to mid twenties.

The holiday was very good. we stayed in Sa coma and the view from our balcony was amazing. The beach was less than a minute away. Everywhere is kept so clean, I didn't see one piece of litter or graffiti. As for the see it was so shallow you could walk really far out and it only came to your waist. Overall the Holiday was amazing!

Peaceful, relaxing and very enjoyable.
We would recommend for any family but couples and singles should head for Arenal where there are plenty of bars, nightclubs and is generally very busy with the beaches being packed during the day.Recommend Majorca to others?

Brilliant! Majorca is what any self respecting Brit would want Britain to be like - but with a bit more rain so we could keep the grass nice and green!!
Predominantly sunny (but occasionally you get wet/cloud relief) still warm - always!!
Sea temperatures are great for swimming but this is best done (if you need the sea to be at bath temperature) in the prime summer months of June to August.
It can be really good (very hot) in April and October but the averages say it all.Holiday
A magnificent place if you like to just stroll by the sea and take a dip when you want without your feet and legs turning blue.
Also good if you are into activities, especially walking and climbing since the Tramuntana mountains are very accessible and walking in them can be tailored according to your ability.
Water sports are a plenty so jet skis and fast boats, snorkelling and diving are so easy peasy to arrange/do - it can cost a bit though.
Go with a nice wad of cash and you can have one of the best holiday destinations at your feet.
If you are on a budget though and just want to eat cheaply (but well) and lounge in the sun then there are loads of places.
A true place for ALL seasons and for ALL tastes and desires. The one magnificent isle that does it all!Recommend Majorca to others?

Fabulous in February!
If you have ever wanted to get away from it all in February, then try Mallorca.
We have had one week almost every year and not only is the Island deserted but the flowers at this time will take your breath away with fabulous blue skies.
The oranges and lemons are ready to pick, the almond blossom and there are roses, geraniums, wild blue ivy, and masses of coloured bougainvillea!
You will be able to enjoy walking around with only a t-shirt on but around 2-3 pm you will need a light jacket as it get's cooler.
Walk on the deserted white sands and have a paddle in the sea. Fabulous !
There seems to be very little rain in February.
We also go for two weeks at the beginning of September so we can swim in the sea every day when the water temperature is perfect.

I always go in October and have never had a wet day. Some days it is just a little too hot for us, but overall wonderful.

We spent a lot of time on trips, but even eating out or having a coffee or just a snack, the prices were very reasonable, the food enjoyable and the people helpful and friendly. We didn't spend any time in nightclubs as we were so busy during the day, so we just had cocktails on the beach and a glass of wine on the balcony.

Very hot every day, with a slight breeze to keep you cool. Night temperature was still very warm; there were two heavy storms during the night.

Could not fault our hotel: staff were excellent; food was varied and good quality; the room was good, our balcony overlooked the beach and sea; the location on Cala Ferrera beach was ideal. Plenty to see and most towns nearby are within walking distance.

I've been lots of times. Back from a few days early September when it was 31C each day, and apart from the odd white cloud was totally clear blue skies.
I was also there in March this year, and we had sunshine every day, with temperatures around 20C.
Going again in October, when it's usually around 24C, and a little more cloud. Although it is the rainiest time, the rain passes very quickly and you usually still get 5 or 6 hours of direct Sun each day.Holiday
I had such a relaxing time.
The people are very friendly, and there is a very 'chilled out' atmosphere in Mallorca.
A superb place to de-stress, even if you can only get away for 3 or 4 days.Recommend Majorca to others?

Went 9th Aug for 10 nights. It was red hot everyday we was there.
One day it was 42 degrees and not even a cloud in the sky.

Fantastic. Port Alcudia is a lovely place to be, especially at night, and the Old Town is a great place to visit.

What a fabulous 14 days, we went for walk, lay on beach couldn't ask for more. Brill hotel, clean rooms, brill food and the staff were out of this world, thanks to the lads in bar and cafe.

Variable but we wore teeshirts and shorts every day, excellent weather for late October. Just one really wet afternoon which cleared to become a beuatiful sunny evening. Very wet in Palma on takeoff.

A very relaxing beach holiday with occasional visits to Palma, Soller and Alcuida. All very enjoyable.
We stayed in the Hotel Uyal, which has had a few dubious reviews in the past re. cleanliness - the hotel and grounds were SPOTLESS so they have obviously taken the criticisms on board (assuming they were genuine). Delicious and plentiful buffet breakfasts and dinners with good variety of hot and cold foods. Huge room with very large balcony, room 155.
Most of the guests had been there many times before and we will certainly be returning to this resort and this hotel in particular. The staff could not have been more efficient or more friendly. We wish them all well during the closed season and hope to meet them again next year.

We had 6 days of sunshine out of 7, for the time of year we couldn't have asked for more. We were luckly though as the week before they had alot of rain.

We stayed at the Club Belleveue, Alcudia & read nothing but bad reviews before we went. For the price we paid it was fantasic, it was clean, food was fine & drinks great.
We didn't hit any large queues & you can get four drinks a time anyway if it is busy. Please ignore the bad reviews as this place is great value for money.

The locals are really friendly. If you are respectful of them nothing is too much trouble.
The colours on the island are out of this world - no wonder so many artists go there to paint.

Sun was shining every day and hardly a breath of wind.
Very hot, had to go in the pool every 10 minutes to cool down!

The holiday itself was good.
Palma airport staff very rude and limited english.
Sun Club Eldorado excellent entertainment package and something for everyone to do from 10 am till 11 pm, cant fault it at all. The entertainment team are superb and take the time to speak to everyone through out the day.
Accomodation is the pits - very basic, dull and dark. Would rather sleep in a tent!
Food not good unless you are either French or German, not very British friendly.

Holiday in Palma Nova

The weather from the very start of our holiday untill the morning we flew home was brilliant.
30-34 degrees.
According to the locals humidity was higher than average, but once you got used to it it was ok.Holiday
The holiday in all was brilliant, although, the accomodation was a let down.
We stayed in the Don Bigote in Palma Nova, Half Board.
First impressions were fine but when we got to our room it was small, basic, and the cleaners were not that thorough.
The restaurant made up for it, the food was excellent, a great choice of either hot or cold everyday, breakfast and dinner.
The outside pool area was average, no music and the fact that we weren't allowed to use the pool untill 9.30am was ridiculous.
No entertainment on in the hotel (brochure stated entertainment, but when we asked the hotel staff they were not aware of any).
The charges for the fridges (3 euros daily) and safes (37 euros for the two weeks) were rather dear I thought.
But.... Palma Nova is a lovely place and it was dissappointing to see it so quiet for this time of year.
Would definately go back but would try another hotel.Recommend Majorca to others?

My family and I have just come back from a week in Cala Bona, we stayed at the Hotel Catalonia Consul on half board.
All I can say is, get yourself there.
The weather as normal, was fantastic, hardly ever a cloud in the sky, over 30 degrees during the day and in the 20's at midnight. You could sit outside in shorts and a vest and it was fabulous.Holiday
The food at the hotel was the best I have ever had at a 3 star hotel.
All of the staff were very polite and it was top class.
Do not believe any negative reviews about this area or this hotel, trust me.Recommend Majorca to others?

Pollensa is a really fantastic place to visit whether you are a couple or a family.
The food available to you is incredible, but be careful where you get your "English"Fish and chips.
The stunning beaches and the bay itself is an incredible place and extremely safe for the kids, even the young ones.
If you are after a place where the night clubs keep you rocking from dawn till dusk you are not really going to enjoy it.
Pollensa is a nice and quiet place, that is not to say boring.
It's a quiet relaxing family orientated place where even in high season you can still hear the birds above people .Recommend Majorca to others?

The weather both times i was here was great!
First time August 2007 and we had really warm weather apart from a couple of showery days but the rain was back off again almost as soon as it came on.
The second time in June 2008, pretty similar but slightly breezy in the evening but still warm.Holiday
Alcudia is a great place to go if your looking for a relaxing break.
I was in the Condes de Alcudia Hotel both times and it's a great wee Hotel, well run and friendly staff, food good also.
There's plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful port/marina area.
It's excellent for a stroll around in the evening and there's a local market on in the afternoon next to the boats and yachts.
Plenty of restaurants here, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Spanish, Mexican as well as fish & chips, steakhouses and fresh barbecues too.
The beach is beautiful, not too overcrowded and the water is clean shallow and safe for kids.
There's a good choice of watersports to pick from if you like that sort of thing.Recommend Majorca to others?

We thought the room was poor and shabby, a bit smelly ( LEDA 2 Building ) not looked after well, although cleaned three times during our weeks stay it still appeared grubby. Night entertainment at the showbar was good, staff were very pleasant always smiling.
Would not recommend Alcudia but Majorca on the whole is great.
Food was adequate but not great.

Never go to this resort if you are English as it totally overrun with Germans. I have nothing against Germans because I actually live there but it was too much. Even the Spaniards spoke German! Would not recommend Hotel Janiero if you are any other nationality but German.

Perfect 82F, gentle breeze.
Hot, but with suncream none of us had a problem - until it came to leaving, which we did NOT want to do !Holiday
Exactly what we wanted with a two-year-old toddler in tow, and very limited cash resources !
My daughter and family were there for two weeks, we joined them for the second. We were all very impressed, and we are very seasoned travellers (before the baby arrived !).
This hotel has three-star rating. I can only believe this is because it does not sit right on a beach, although there is a lovely beach 15 minutes walk away (and you have the time to do this anyway !!).
Food, cleanliness, facilities, entertainment, staff - all absolutely excellent.
On-site evening entertainment very good standard, and a long way from clubs and drunks - thank heaven !
Cannot think of a single reason to grumble.
Would definitely recommend and return.

Our holiday was a lot of disappointments .
We payed a lot of money for only 1 week to be with my sister and her family and the travel agents forgot to mention that the hotel was in the middle of nowhere with only 2 bars and 2 hotels ,no shops not even a supermarket.
So the hotel were charging very high prices for sweets ,crisps ,drinks soft and alcholic also in our hotel no entertainment
Nothing for the kids to do except play in the pool all day and the full board buffet would not feed a pig for 1 hour never mind Brits
It was terrible ,,
