Things to do in Elounda in September
Santorini
For something a little different, catch the Fast Cat ferry to Santorini, located to the north of Crete. This is a great day out and good way to explore more of the regions beautiful islands and destinations. Once you get off the boat, take a scenic tour around the island, famous for its white-washed buildings and blue-domed churches. The cobbled streets and tavernas perch on cliff tops overlooking the stunning blue Mediterranean Sea. This is definitely an exciting day out when visiting Crete.
Diving
A great activity for the warmer months is diving. Whether you have dived before or are a complete newbie, the safe environment of learning how to dive in a pool before going out to sea, allows confidence building. When diving in the sea, there is a small cove that has little current or tides and excellent visibility to view the amazing marine wildlife found in the area. Have a trial dive or go for your PADI licence, but make sure this activity is on your list of things to do in Elounda.
