Things to do in Elounda in April
Labyrinth Park
A good choice for April days that are not too cold or wet is the nearby Labyrinth Park. Located about 45km from Elounda, this is a great opportunity to hire a car and have a day out with the whole family. The park is educational as well as fun with so many activities on offer. Get lost in the maze, go horse riding, try archery, mini golf or explore the model village. Get involved in pot making with a local potter, and learn about everything from wild flowers to Greek mythology from the information boards located around the park.
Plaka
Make sure to visit the nearby fishing village of Plaka when visiting Elounda. This village is situated in the stunning Mirabello Bay, opposite Spinalonga island. It used to be a small fishing village but has recently expanded to include several taverns and hotels, and is a great place to wander around on warmer April days. Located 5km from Elounda, this village maintains its charm and atmosphere, while offering plenty of opportunities for interesting exploration.
