What's the Weather Like in Aruba in April

Temperature

In April, visitors to Aruba get to experience the brief spring weather that only lasts on this island for one month. This is a time of transition, but the good news is that the change is a gentle one. There is actually very little difference in the climate going forward, with the average daily temperatures resting at 28°C as they were in March. The average highs stay the same also, at 30°C, a little warmer than the neighbouring area of Arasji.

Rain

The lows are coming up, however, increasing to 26°C the first sign that the weather is heating up even further as we approach the summer. The dry season is also definitely here to stay, with an average of 10mm of rain coming down. That covers just 3 days of the month, so you might even manage to have a totally dry holiday if you are lucky! Even if it does happen to rain while you visit, the shower will not last for very long, which is always fantastic news. It actually rains a bit more in May, so don't expect those spring showers which you might be used to elsewhere in the world!

Sea Temperature

As for the sea temperature, you can be sure that you are ready to take a dip in the sea, with the average rising to 27°C. Aruba as a whole is always a great place to catch the sun and go swimming, so long as you watch out for the wind: it can get a little rough in certain areas of the coast where there is no protection from rock formations. Be sure only to swim in areas which are marked out as safe!

Hotels in Aruba in April

Paradera Park

If you are looking for a 4 star hotel, then Paradera Park could be a good choice. It is close to the island's capital and offers plenty of amenities, including snacks and drinks available in your room on the day that you arrive to tide you over. You can also hire a beach set and some snorkelling gear in order to enjoy the white sands that await you.

MVC Eagle Beach

Or how about the MVC Eagle Beach? Enjoy the April sunshine with a hotel that sits right on the beach, and also offers its own pool. Here you get the personal treatment, as there are only 19 guest rooms on the property. It is a charming and quaint place to stay which you can't help but enjoy, and they also have a green footprint.

The Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort

The Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort is a modern and colourful complex set right on the white sands. The amenities include pools with a swim-up bar, a fitness centre, a whirlpool and hot tub, a spa, a golf course, restaurants, shops and cafes on site, a kid's club, sports gear and courts, and even bike rental. You will never be bored here!

Hit the Beach

Boca Prins

A secluded beach is always the perfect spot to relax, and Boca Prins offers just that. It shows off some of the iconic natural scenery that the northern part of Aruba is known for, and is actually part of the National Park, Arikok. You should avoid swimming here because of strong currents, so just enjoy the white sands and the restaurants nearby.

Dos Playa

You will naturally want to swim at some point, since the sea temperature is around 27°C. How about hitting the waves to surf? Dos Playa is a pair of coves that form neighbouring beaches, and surfers love it here. You can also relax under the shade of trees on the white sands. It's also part of the same national park!

Bars and Restaurants

Chalet Suisse

If you want to try food with a European twist, visit Chalet Suisse. Established in 1988, this restaurant puts a lot of effort into creating delicious dishes combined with great service. Executive Chef Yves Steinmetz offers seasonal menus which include vegetarian options, meat and seafood.

Zeerovers

If you want more seafood, head for Zeerovers. They serve fresh caught fish right on the pier, so that you can watch seagulls flying, boats lapping on the tide, and generally smell that fresh sea air while you eat. Everything is as fresh as possible and cooked to traditional local recipes.

Passions on the Beach

Passions on the Beach is the place to go for a romantic meal, particularly if you want to surprise your partner. You will eat on the white sand itself, with tiki torches lighting up the sea. You can watch the sun set with a glass of wine, then order a meat or fresh fish plate and finish with a sweet dessert.

Things to Do in Aruba in April

Pelican Adventures

Going sightseeing is a lot of fun, especially in April's dry weather, but it is even better when you have a guide to tell you where you are and why it is important. Pelican Adventures offer a number of different tours that you can book. You can go sailing, scuba diving, find somewhere special to eat, or just tour the island itself.

Wix Tours

With Wix Tours, each tour is designed to show you a different facet of the island. You can explore the coastline with a shore cruise, or take a look at the key landmarks of Aruba. You can also get a taste of some products which are made right there on the island, such as beers and cigars, on a taste tour.

Aruba Sunrise Tours

Alternatively, try Aruba Sunrise Tours. They personalise your trips to give you the best possible experience. How about a driving adventure? You can take a 4-wheel drive ATV around the island, along roads and off the beaten track wherever you wish to go. There are caves, beaches, and natural pools all waiting to be discovered.
