The month of May will see average temperatures start to rise further in Adeje with an average temperature of 20°C. With higher temperatures than the previous months this is certainly a good time to visit this popular holiday destination. During the month, temperatures could see a high of 23°C and lows do not go below 16°C at night. Low temperatures are still very much warm enough to enjoy your days outside especially as the hours of sunshine have also increased to 9 hours per day, which gives you plenty of time to sunbath and swim or even spend time at the waterpark.

If you're a beach person and like to explore the sea then you will be pleased to hear the average sea temperature this month is at a warm 20°C which is higher than April.

As well as the month seeing an increase in the average temperature, the average number of wet days has significantly dropped from 10 days in April to 8 days in May. There is now only 11mm of rain across the entire month and there will also be less chance of cloudy and windy days. The month of May lands in the middle of the spring and summer months and is a very popular time to visit because this is when a real difference in temperatures starts to show. Things to Do

One of the things you have to do when visiting Adeje in May is the helicopter ride above the island which is provided by Helidream Canarias. It is an excellent trip which is made better by the friendly staff and pilots. You will get to see out-of-this-world views as well as an experience you and your family will remember for a very long time.

If you're a fitness junkie or even a beginner, then you could take part in an outdoor yoga class hosted by Laura Fitness Tenerife. Classes take place on the Altaira Beach and is a great way to start your day with the glorious May sun and a calm and relaxing ambience. Laura will make you feel comfortable and at ease during the class and you'll feel like such a new person after the class that you'll want to go every morning!

If you love to read and love everything about books then visit Library Reading Up which is a very unique bookshop that is made to look like a library. It is located in the Bajo Hotel Gran Tinerfe and is open Wednesday to Monday from 11am to 8pm. As soon as you walk into the shop, you will understand just how much the owners of this shop love their books. What makes this bookshop so unique is that you can bring back the books you have read and exchange them for new ones.

Hit the Beach

Because sea temperatures have started to increase, you will be able to enjoy some great days out on one of the many fabulous beaches in Adeje. One of those beaches is Playa del Bobo which is located in Costa Adeje. You will enjoy a pleasant walk along this beach as well as discover the many bars surrounding the beach. As well as bars there are plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy too. All age groups will be able to enjoy this beach and so is a great day out for families. There are flag warnings too so you know when it is safe to enter the water.

If you want some home comforts then why not have a pub style lunch at the Pirate Barrr which is located close to Siam Park. It is great for families to visit as it is a lot of fun with the staff dressed as pirates and the whole restaurant kitted out in pirate decorations. You will get reasonable priced dinners as well as a very cheerful atmosphere.

If it is some nightlife you are looking for the definitely head to Café Steps which is a great bar located in Playa Fanabe. You will have a brilliant night here thanks to the very friendly and welcoming owners and staff. Once you have been, you will want to go back every night during your stay.
