January is one of the coolest times of the year to visit Adeje in Tenerife, but it is still very mild with the average temperature being 18°C. The first month of the year may see temperatures of up to 21°C but also down to 14°C which again is pretty mild for a winter month. Even though this is one of the cooler months of the year, it should still be warm enough for you to spend a day strolling the beach with the average sea temperature being a pleasant 19°C.

You will also be able to enjoy the days outside as there are roughly 6 hours of sunshine a day and an average of only 13 rainy days in the month. With 66mm of precipitation this is one of the wettest months of the year in Adeje, but there is considerably less rain here than elsewhere in Europe.

While December, January and February are the winter months, the weather is still warm and mild and is hotter in these months than in other locations so you will be able to enjoy your holiday during this time and all year round. For this reason, hotels and outdoor swimming pools will remain open all year even during the winter months.

Adeje is a popular destination for holidaymakers because of the warm and mild weather all year round. Many families and couples travel to this holiday destination which is located on the south west coast of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Due to its southern location on the island, Adeje has warmer average temperatures than some other locations which is why it is so popular with tourists.

You will be pleased to hear that there is only a small 6% chance of a cloudy day in this month however you may experience a few windy days. There are less rainy days than in La Gomera which has the same average temperature but with 17 rainy days. If you're stuck deciding between the two locations, this may be something to consider.
