Beaches for March for Sydney

No visit to Sydney would be complete without a visit to the beach. The New South Wales coastline is famous for its beautiful beaches and ample surfing facilities.

Balmoral Beach

One of the best beaches in Sydney is Balmoral Beach. Located in the Mosman area of the city, the beach is easy to reach by ferry and makes a great day trip for the whole family, with plenty of bars, restaurants and attractions located nearby. Thanks to its sheltered position within the harbour, the beach is known for its calmer waters and is therefore ideal for bathers who prefer to swim at a gentler pace.

Collaroy

Further along up the coastline and away from the city you'll find Collaroy and Warriewood Beaches. Both beaches offer long stretches of golden sand and currents which are ideal for surfing and bodyboarding. Owing to their more secluded locations, you'll find fewer crowds here than you would expect to find at other beaches such as Bondi or Coogee.

Restaurants and Bars for Sydney in March

Farmhouse Kings Cross

Whatever food you fancy, you'll find it in Sydney, from typical Australian cuisine to international options. Farmhouse Kings Cross is a highly-rated restaurant located in the King's Cross area of the city. This restaurant is noted for its rustic appeal, with communal tables and country-style décor, while the food is based around local produce, including fresh seafood and vegetables. The restaurant is a bit on the small side, so it's worth ringing ahead to secure a table here.

Mr Wong

Mr Wong is the place to go if you're looking for really exceptional Chinese cuisine in the heart of town. Meats and seafoods are the order of the day at this gourmet restaurant, although the dim sum dumplings are also certainly worth a try. The restaurant also stocks a fine selection of wines which are expertly matched to the menu.

Paramount Coffee Project

If it's brunch you're after, then head straight to the Paramount Coffee Project in the Surry Hills district. Having recently caused something of a stir on the city's restaurant and cafe scene, classic breakfast dishes with artisan touches are what this place specialises in, and they do it exceptionally well. True to its name, the coffee here is also very high-calibre.

Goros

Another Surry Hills establishment that's worthy of a visit (albeit at a different time of day) is Goros. Known for its eclectic decor and furnishings, this quirky bar attracts a youthful crowd and is busy practically every evening of the week.
