Yalikavak is an attractive town which is situated on the northwest tip of the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Bodrum Peninsula, belonging to the country of Turkey.  The Bodrum Peninsula is said to be one of the most important and stunning areas in Turkey which has a 174 km long coastline and is bounded by 32 islands.  Yalikavak is located 10 miles from Bodrum and is surrounded by beautiful scenery and well-known for beautiful sunsets and unspoilt shores.  The weather is beautifully sunny all year round with temperatures reaching average highs of 330C during the summer months but the heat is reduced somewhat with breezes from the Aegean Sea, if you find these temperatures too hot.  The beautiful sea has been awarded the âBlue Flagâ in 2002 for its clean waters.  The town boasts a Marina, water sports, restaurants, bars, shops, markets, and beach.  The world championship windsurfing event was held here in 2009.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Winter

In winter the highest average temperature is 150C and the lowest average evening temperature is 120C.  The highest temperature recorded in winter is 230C in the month of December.  The lowest recorded is -30C in the month of February.   It does not snow in this town and temperatures still reach up to averages of 150C and sometimes reaching into the twenties making this an ideal location to holiday any time of the year.
