Tossa de Mar, located on the north coast of Spain between Barcelona and France's border, used to be an ancient fishermen's village with a strong historical background. Today, the area is a popular holiday resort that offers a wide selection of cultural, historical and touristic activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The resort enjoys a pleasant Mediterranean climate, similar to that of Lloret de Mar, with cool winters and warm summers. Light rain is common throughout the year, with the dampest months being April and May.

If you visit in January you can expect temperatures ranging from a mild 13°C during the day, to a chilly 2°C after sunset, so come prepared and pack some warm clothing for the evenings.

The Tossa de Mar lighthouse is one of the most visited places in the resort and awards visitors with great views across the sea and along the coast.
