Thassos is a Greek island located in the northern part of the Aegean Sea. There are 18 towns to choose from to explore.

It is an island where visitors can relax and have fun the whole year round, though activities vary depending on the time of the year.

February in Thassos is not much warmer than January and this means having a high temperature of about 9°C (48°F) during the day.

The average nightly low temperature is usually around 1°C (34°F) which is about the same as in January.

Daytime during February is only slightly warmer than January so visitors can expect to have to wear warm clothing for all outdoor activities and excursions.

It is still relatively humid in February with the average humidity being around 72% but it isn't as uncomfortable because of the chilly weather.

The average precipitation to be expected in February is 59 mm or 2.35 inches and visitors should expect roughly 7 hours of sunshine each day.

Visitors are advised to check current local weather conditions prior to their arrival in Thassos.

Preparation for the Carnival Season starts this month and will end until the last weekend before Lent, also known as "Clean Monday".

Carnival Season means red wine concessions, lots of food, and lots of dancing. As you can imagine, there's lots of fun to be had!

A lot of towns in Thassos commemorate Carnival in a conventional way especially in Potamia village, where there is a grand parade.

Tourists can do some hiking and mountain climbing as most of the mountain spots will be accessible but they may not be as lively as in the summer months.

Fishing and sailing on the coasts is desirable. It is recommended that visitors try having lunch or an early dinner on a yacht or boat with friends for a unique experience that provides a different view than what could be seen in the city itself.
