Weather lowdown
June is the first month of summer in Tallinn, Estonia. The first summer tourists will begin arriving toward the end of the month as the temperatures have then become quite comfortable. June is the third warmest month of the year in the Estonian capital, after the peak summer months of July and August, and has an average temperature of 15°C. In the afternoon, the mercury climbs to an average high of 20°C, while at night, it drops to an average low of 9°C. Both those averages increase in the course of the monthhe end of June is noticeably warmer than the beginning. The sea temperature averages 14°C, a significant 7-degree increase since May, but is still not quite high enough for comfortable dips in the Baltic Sea.
Summer is the wettest part of the year in this coastal city and June marks the start of it. With a total amount of rainfall of 35mm, a large increase since the previous month, and 13 days with precipitation, June receives its fair share of wetness. That being said; the chance that you will experience rainfall averages 46%, which is relatively low for this region. The types of rainfall that are most common are light rain and moderate rain, which respectively occur on 41% and 37% of the days with rainfall. Thunderstorms may happen as well, but, observed on only 16% of those rainy days, are far less likely.
Cloud cover ranges around 77% this month and doesn't vary much. The sky above Tallinn is fairly cloudy throughout the whole year and June is no exception. You can expect (mostly) clear skies only 9% of the time in this city. They are most likely to be mostly cloudy. This percentage of 77%, however, is one of the lowest in the year. Only July and, sometimes, August are less cloudy than June
June is characterised by the longest days of the entire year. June 20 is the longest day of them all with no fewer than 18.39 hours of daylight. The other days in June are only slightly shorter. Because of this relatively low percentage of cloud cover and these incredibly long days, June is one of the sunniest months of the year in Tallinn.

Eating and drinking out
Restoran Lusikas is a superb restaurant in the heart of the city. It's a truly amazing place to go for dinner wonderful establishment to relax after a day of intensive sightseeing.

For evening drinks, head over to Ice Bar, a bar housed in Merchant's House Hotel. This place consists of ice and serves all kinds of "cool" beverages, from cocktails and craft beers to shots of vodka in shot glasses of ice.
Things to do
The touristic focal point in Tallinn is the magnificent Town Hall Square, the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Old Town. With summer finally approaching in June and a day temperature that averages 15°C, walking around is the best way to see this stunning city. Start exploring at Town Hall Square, which has been the centre of the city for no fewer than 800 years. Its home to gorgeous merchant's houses, several restaurant terraces and, of course, the striking Town Hall.
This square is still the beating heart of Tallinn, hosting many an outdoor concert, fun medieval-style markets and all kinds of fairs in summer, and a beautiful Christmas market in winter. After spending an afternoon exploring the Old Town, this is where you'll want to kick back with a meal or a refreshing beverage.
