What's the Weather Like in Sunny Beach in September

Whilst September is still very much a summer month (June - September) in Sunny Beach, the crowds taper off a little as the month progresses, making this a popular time to visit for those who prefer a quieter time.

Temperature and Sunshine

The temperatures however are still very pleasant indeed, with an average of 20°C for September, reaching a high of 24°C still very warm and certainly good enough for a sun tan, with an average of 9 hours of sun per day. Evenings are also pleasantly warm, at around 15°C on average.

Rain

The slightly cooler temperatures mean this is a great time to explore around Sunny Beach if you become a little tired of the beach, and rain is still very low at this time of year; you can expect 37mm of precipitation throughout September, only affecting around 4 days of the month.

Sea Temperature

On top of this, the Black Sea is also perfect for a spot of splashing, with an average water temperature of around 22°C.

Atliman Beach

Heading off and exploring the Black Sea Coast's beautiful beaches is certainly something to be recommended, and just north of Kiten, you will find Atliman Beach. If you want to see the beauty of nature in its purest form then this is where you need to be heading, where the imposing Strandja Mountain steeps down to meet the clear waters of the Black Sea.

This is a relaxing beach, not somewhere to expect major life and parties, however if you want to chill out, then this is the ideal choice.

Staropramen

Sunny Beach is also home to popular Staropramen, with a huge menu of international dishes to try, great prices, and a central location.

Fastferry Hydrofoils

Sunny Beach may have the word 'beach' in it, but there is much more to it than that! You can head off on a scenic tour of the beautiful Black Sea Coast with Fastferry Hydrofoils, who do twice weekly, full day tours.

You get picked up at Sunny Beach and are taken to Nessebar Harbour, before being taken to Sozopol; here you spend the afternoon and have lunch, before returning to your hotel in the evening. This a full day out but will certainly show you some of the beauty away from the beach and nightlife that Sunny Beach is mainly famous for.

Bourgas

The Black Sea Coast is also famous for naturally formed mud baths, with reputed healing properties for joint and skin conditions the good news? You only need to hire a car and head half an hour away from Sunny Beach to enjoy them, and they're totally free to visit! The ones closest to Sunny Beach are just north of Bourgas at Atanasovsko Lake, meaning you can throw in a visit to Bourgas on your way.

Alternatively, you might fancy getting active with a spot of tennis as the temperatures cool a little, and in that case head to Hotel Oleander House and Tennis Club and spend a few hours playing in the sun.
