November is actually a high tourist time in St. Thomas. Hurricane season, which officially began on June 1st, ends on November 30th.
The rainfall is still high compared to other months, but it is not extreme, and tourists can still get out and about practically any day, since the rain comes in the mornings usually.
November is the month in which St. Thomas holds its Charter Yacht Show, which is bound to impress spectators with immaculate sea craft of all types.
The St. Thomas/St. John Agriculture and Food Fair also takes place. For those who come to the United States Virgin Islands looking for an authentic experience of food and culture, this exhibition of everything the island has to offer is ideal.
Children and adults will enjoy the butterfly farm nearby or a tour of Blackbeard's Castle.
The Coral World Ocean Park opens officially for the bulk of the tourist season with regular hours from 9am to 4pm daily starting in November. The park is hard to classify. Its living creatures make it an aquarium, but with the Undersea Observatory which allows them to stay in their natural habitat and allows visitors to watch them, aquarium doesn't quite fit. In addition, the Park offers what they call eco-tours that allow tourists to kayak, hike, or snorkel into places that are rarely seen by most tourists.
