June is really beginning to heat up in St. Thomas. People flock there annually to enjoy the perfect island weather. At this time of year, expect beaches to be full of people and the sun to shine all day. Beaches include Lindquist Beach, Sapphire Beach, Honeymoon Beach, and Magens Bay. Some St. Thomas beaches charge admission or parking fees, but there are plenty that do not.
As an island that caters to tourists, outdoor activities are plentiful. There are sailing lessons available for adults and for children. There are also both guided and unguided jet ski tours, or you can simply rent one for the day.
Be aware that the natives find it very rude for female tourists to walk around in bathing suits or for males to go without a shirt unless they are actually at the beach. Therefore, you shouldn't plan on going straight from the beach to a restaurant, even if it says that its attire is casual.
Some find it too hot for walking about in the city, but most will be comfortable. If walking or hiking isn't for you, but you still want to see the city, consider taking an aerial tour via helicopter or a group taxi tour which can be a happy middle ground for those who would like to do a little of everything: shopping, beach roaming, and sightseeing.
