The town of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Saint-Omer is one of four towns in the Nord-Pas de Calais region which belong to the Country of France and Francesâ network of artistic and historic towns.  The currency in Saint-Omer is euro.  Saint-Omer is a quiet town with a moderate weather similar to southeast region of the U.K. There are lots of attractions to see including the Notre-Dame Cathedral, City Hall, Museum Dupuis, the ruins of Saint-Bertinâs Abbey, French Gardens and the well known Saint-Omer Golf Course.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The town of Saint-Omer is located in Northern France and has wet and changeable weather.  Northern regions have a temperate climate of mild winters, warm summers and rain being frequent all year round.  The weather is very unpredictable.  This part of France is most affected by the changeable weather brought by Atlantic disturbances with a climate similar to U.K.  The area also consists of coasts and has the most maritime climate in all of France.    It is said that most of Franceâs rain falls in Brittany and along the North Coast.

Saint-Omer is named after Saint Audomar who brought Christianity to the area.  Saint Omer is also famous for its swamp âMarais Audomaroisâ where people cultivate vegetables and sell them on boats.
