Since July is the middle of summer for most places, many people are going on holiday during the month and a lot of them like to go to St. Martin in the northern Caribbean.

With its absolutely gorgeous weather, white sandy beaches, tropical blue waters and friendly locals it's no wonder its one of the best holiday spots in the world.

St. Martin in July sees an average daily high temperature of around 30°C (86°F). This heat is tempered by lovely tropical breezes that make staying outdoors on the beach magical.

At night, the temperature barely drops at all, only going down to 25°C (77°F). It's just cool enough to still enjoy being outside without feeling too sweaty or sticky.

Average precipitation in July is around 77mm or 3 inches of rain throughout the month. Despite being an island, the humidity isn't as bad as one would think it would be. In fact, it's quite tolerable and even pleasant at times.

There will be roughly 11 to 12 hours of sunshine per day in July.

An unusual attraction that can be found on Front Street in Phillipsburg (the Dutch side of the island) is the Yoda Guy Movie Exhibit at Planet Paradise. It's tucked in with all of the jewellery and other shops along the strand but is definitely worth a visit if one is a Star Wars fan or a movie buff in general. There are all kinds of memorabilia including actual movie props, facial casts of famous actors, and lots of souvenirs to buy.

Another attraction is Maho beach which is just in front of the main runway of the airport. What makes this an attraction is that airplanes coming in for a landing pass literally just yards above the heads of tourists on the beach. It makes for some very exciting pictures but it isn't necessarily the best beach for relaxing and swimming.

For travellers on holiday that are looking for a decent, self-service style place to stay then the Sunsea Atlantide Residence Hotel is the place to be. Fairly cheap rates and an excellent location make this self-service hotel one for the budget minded.

Rooms are fully equipped with a stocked kitchenette, TV, air conditioning, and comfortable beds. They are also very roomy being bigger than a standard hotel room and they allow pets. The hotel is right on the beach and the views are quite stunning.
