Sousse in Tunisia has very warm weather during June. Sousse is the perfect place to kick off your summer holidays and enjoy weather that is not too hot. Daytime average temperatures reach a high of 28°C (82°F) and only fall to 20°C (68°F) at night with an average temperature of 24°C (75°F) making it a fantastic time to visit.

The temperatures in June can be fairly inconsistent. The weather can range from about 23°C to 32°C the first week of the month. By the second week, temperatures balance between 28°C and 31°C. The warm weather holds steady between 28°C and 31°C and continues into the end of the month. The weather for June provides long stretches of sunny days the first two weeks may see one rain shower. The rain picks up a little come the third week averaging about 3 rainy days but clears up by the end of the month when it's back to full sun skies again.

You can expect 11 wonderful hours of sunshine and an average of only 2 rainy days for the month. The average monthly amount of precipitation in June has been recorded at around 4 mm.

The sea temperature continues to warm up as summer begins to 20°C (68°F) which is certainly warm enough for the adventurers who want to enjoy surfing, snorkeling and jet skiing, as well as those who want to enjoy a brisk barefoot walk on the beach. Pack your wetsuit and enjoy the waves. 

Humidity stays between 40 and 70% for the majority of June, but you can expect to see it drop to as low as 14% and rise as high as 100% at certain times. The daily average for June is around 71%, making it quite nice.

In June, the average daily wind speed has been around 16 km/h (equivalent to about 10 mph, or 9 knots). Wind speeds vary from 9-32 mph throughout the month and in recent years have sustained the maximum speed of 85 km/h, (that is equivalent of around 53 mph, or 46 knots).

The sports facilities feature 8 tennis courts, squash courts, an archery map, mini golf, bowling, handball, beach volleyball and basketball, as well as a 27-hole golf course 3km away at Port El Kantaoui. For shoppers, there is a bazaar and souvenir shop so you can purchase something to remember your trip by. 

Sousse Palace is a new 5-star hotel in the center of the city on Avenue Habib Bourguiba. This is the main avenue of the city which gives you a great location to all the local attractions including the Medina which is only 250 meteres away. 

You can easily walk to the beach promenade behind the hotel. Indoor and outdoor pools as well as a Jacuzzi, sauna, and dicso are available for your entertainment. There are seminar rooms available for meetings, as well, for those on business. The best price is guaranteed at the Sousse Palace.

 

If you're looking for soft golden sand and a clear sea, Hammamet Beach is for you. Although not required, it is recommended to get there by camel ride. It's better for sightseeing, as well; you can see the long stretch of sand, the green water along it and the peaks of the hotel roofs. As with other beaches, Hammamet is known for excellent diving and water sport facilities offering catamarans and pedaloes, waterskiing, windsurfing, snorkeling and scuba diving to add some adventure to your holiday.

Queen is a lovely, high quality restaurant specializing in Tunisian and French food. The atmosphere is pleasant and intimate great for relaxing after a long day. An attentive and kind staff awaits to provide you with excellent food service. The prices are affordable and the cleanliness is great. Try the lobster while you're there and save room for dessert; have a nice frappaccino and chocolate afterwards.

A Mediterranean gem, Bonaparte restaurant offers a wide-varied and interesting menu. The staff is attentive and efficient as well as courteous. Although it's a little pricy compared to other restaurants in the area, you will certainly get what you pay for. Try the steak in raspberry sauce with a glass of wine while you're there. You will leave feeling more than satisfied and being so close to the beach, you can top off your night with an evening stroll.

Kalaout el Koubba is a beautiful Fatimid architectural style building from the 11th Century and it is located right in the middle of the Medina. You'll recognize it by its cupola with zigzag ribbing. The original function is not known possibly an inn - but currently it is used to display the everyday life of Tunisians under Ottoman rule. Open every day except Friday. For an additional fee, you can take pictures with your camera.

The Zaouia Zakkak is 100m west of the Ribat in the Medina. It is a splendid octagonal stone minaret from the 17th Century and is the Medina's leading example of Ottoman architecture. Inside you'll find a mosque, a medersa (a Koranic school) and a mausoleum. If you are Muslim, you can go in but non-Muslims must admire from the street.
