As with other beaches, Hammamet is known for excellent diving and water sport facilities offering catamarans and pedaloes, waterskiing, windsurfing, snorkeling and scuba diving to add some adventure to your holiday.
Queen is a lovely, high quality restaurant specializing in Tunisian and French food. The atmosphere is pleasant and intimate great for relaxing after a long day. An attentive and kind staff awaits to provide you with excellent food service. The prices are affordable and the cleanliness is great. Try the lobster while you're there and save room for dessert; have a nice frappaccino and chocolate afterwards.
A Mediterranean gem, Bonaparte restaurant offers a wide-varied and interesting menu. The staff is attentive and efficient as well as courteous. Although it's a little pricy compared to other restaurants in the area, you will certainly get what you pay for. Try the steak in raspberry sauce with a glass of wine while you're there. You will leave feeling more than satisfied and being so close to the beach, you can top off your night with an evening stroll.
Kalaout el Koubba is a beautiful Fatimid architectural style building from the 11th Century and it is located right in the middle of the Medina. You'll recognize it by its cupola with zigzag ribbing. The original function is not known possibly an inn - but currently it is used to display the everyday life of Tunisians under Ottoman rule. Open every day except Friday. For an additional fee, you can take pictures with your camera.
The Zaouia Zakkak is 100m west of the Ribat in the Medina. It is a splendid octagonal stone minaret from the 17th Century and is the Medina's leading example of Ottoman architecture. Inside you'll find a mosque, a medersa (a Koranic school) and a mausoleum. If you are Muslim, you can go in but non-Muslims must admire from the street.
