While rare, this part of southern Europe has seen some extreme highs and lows. The highest recorded temperature was an unheard of 41°C (around 105°F). The lowest recorded temperature went down to a cool 14°C (about 58°F). More than likely, you won't face major highs or lows during your stay, but check the local forecast to be sure.

Things to Do

You can also do stand-up paddleboarding and windsurfing, perfect with the breezes that blow across from Africa. The instructors are friendly and helpful, teaching you the basics to get you out on the water in no time.
Not just for royals and the wealthy anymore, polo is an exciting sport to watch. You can take in a match at the Santa Maria Polo Club just outside Sotogrande. Most of the polo games are free, so you can spend the money on yummy drinks to sip on while you watch. The club also has numerous food vendors selling delicious local delicacies and you can also do some shopping at the boutique stands around the club.
The La Canada Club de Golf is another premier course in the Sotogrande area. The course has sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains. It's also full of lush greenery, palm trees, and willows. Utilise the practice area to perfect your stroke before you head out on the greens. Check out the Spanish-style clubhouse with pro shop, caddie master, changing rooms, café, and restaurant.
Hit the Beach
Just west of the Guadiaro River estuary, Playa Sotogrande invites beachgoers to enjoy its warm sand and gorgeous water.
