You will also be able to find exhibitions of art by local artists, as well as other ways of expression of the people's rich culture.
The other major festival in this month is the Feast of Santa Tecla referred to by locals as the 'Festa Petita' (small festival) held from the 22nd to the 23rd. St. Tecla is the equivalent of St. Bartholomew who is the patron saint of the town. His festival is referred to as the 'Festa Major' as contrasted to the Feast of Santa Clara.
11th September is the National Day of Catalans and is taken very seriously by the people of Sitges since they are of Catalan descent.
The annual wine making festival is held between the 17th and 18th of the month.
September is also the book month. Throughout the month, you will find all sorts of books on sale in the streets, as well as several book fairs being held.
