Whats the Weather like in Singapore in June
While it feels like summer pretty much all year round in Singapore, June signals the official start of the season on the calendar. This month brings more of the same steamy temperatures and steady rainfall amounts. The southwest monsoon season officially begins this month, but the rainfall makes a gradual increase, not hitting its full impact until much later in the season. So, this month is still a good time to visit for a summer holiday.
Rainfall
Compared to May, which saw around 171 mm of rainfall, this month gets about 163 mm of rain across the month. That amount of rain falls over 19 days and rain typically falls in the late afternoon and early evening hours.
Be prepared with a good, sturdy umbrella or a poncho and you'll want a pair of shoes or sandals that you don't mind getting wet. When it is raining, take advantage of the city's excellent public transportation system to get from place to place without getting soaked.
Temperature
In this part of southeast Asia the average daily temperature sits at 27°C (around 81°F), compared to July, which has an average temperature of around 27°C (around 81°F). The humidity starts to pick up this time of the year, with the winds blowing in warm air from the southwest and southeast.
At night, you'll get a welcome rest, with lows dipping down to 24°C (around 75°F). Head outside and enjoy the cool night air with a drink or meal on a local restaurant's patio. During the day, the highs get up to 31°C (about 88°F).
Average Sunshine Hours
You'll want to bring along a good quality sunscreen with a high SPF, as the UV index is high in this part of Asia. Even with lots of cloud cover, you can still easily get sunburnt. Expect around 8 hours of sunshine each day, plenty of time for being out and about.
Average Sea Temperature
The average sea temperature is still 30°C (about 86°F), which will feel pretty warm, especially with the hot outside air.
