What's the Weather like in Singapore in February
Rainfall
Even though February is still technically part of the northeast monsoon season, the rainfall amounts drop significantly this month in Singapore compared to January. February sees a relatively low 165 mm of rainfall, compared to the 238 mm that fell the previous month.
That amount of rain falls over 13 days in the month, so you'll still get numerous rainy days during your stay. The chance of rain on any given day is 40 percent. Even if you do get all rainy days during your stay, you can still enjoy the numerous indoor activities, restaurants and shopping.
Temperature
The average daily temperature stays consistent at 27°C (about 82°F), nice and warm without much humidity yet, compared to March, which has an average temperature of around 27°C (around 81°F). The lows at night can drop down to 24°C (around 75°F), a welcome respite from the heat of the day.
During the warmest part of the day, the highs jump up to 31°C (about 88°F). Take advantage of the warm temperatures and lower humidity and check out the nearby rain forests or explore the tallest hill on the island, Bukit Timah.
The average high is still warm but not as hot as it has been, topping out at 30°C (about 86°F). Even with the drop in average and high temperatures, you'll still want to pack the warm-weather clothing like short-sleeved shirts and shorts.
Average Sea Temperature
The temperature of the Java Sea stays consistent, averaging 28°C (about 82°F). If you're lucky enough to get a sunny day, head down to the beach and spend some time in the water.
Average Sunshine Hours
Like nearby Malaysia, the area sees around eight hours of sunshine each day, plenty of time to be outside to soak up the warm temperatures, if you can avoid the rain drops. The chance of a cloudy day is 80 percent.
