Side is an ancient town which has been transformed into a classical resort, located on the southern Mediterranean coast of Turkey.
It is 15 kilometers east of Antalya City which is the largest city in the country.
This town is famous for its very rich Grecian history that some of its ruins have still preserved. Scattered around this peninsula are combinations of shops, modern architectures, bars and historical ruins.
It is flanked by a golden sandy shore engulfing the clear and deep waters of the Mediterranean Sea. It has been considered to be one of the least heard of yet most famous and visited resorts in the world and attracts visitors from all around the planet.

The Main Holiday Season in Side
The town of Side enjoys the perfectly temperate Mediterranean climate, with long summers and short winters.
High temperatures are enjoyed throughout the summer season, with the main tourism months lasting from March to November.
The temperature usually peaks at around 30°C during the afternoon, while the lowest temperature is around 13°C.
The winter season usually can see temperatures dropping down to anywhere from 6°C to 11°C.

The beach offers clear, warm water perfect for diving, snorkelling and other water sports, including jet skiing and water skiing. There are plenty of beach activities also going on, such as volleyball.
A short distance away from the city is the Aspendos. It is a Hellenistic theatre that was built around 167 AD but is still perfectly functional and preserved. There are also the temples of Apollo and Athena dating back to around the same time.
The Byzantine hospital along with the Roman baths, which are as old as the 6th century BC, are well known tourist attractions.
There are also two famous waterfalls- the Manavgat and Nymphaneum- which are not to be missed when touring around Side.

Beaches in Side
Although Side stretches approximately 800 kilometres, there are only two main beaches in the town.
These are the East beach and the West beach. Both have the golden sand and warm blue waters, but the West beach is more popular as it offers safer facilities and shallower waters.
Water sports are available on both beaches, with parasailing, diving, fishing, water skiing and sailing tours all available.
Side Nightlife
When it comes to the nightlife, Side has plenty going on, from restaurants for a quiet eveningâs meal, to clubs throwing foam parties.
One of the most popular restaurants is the Aquarius restaurant, which is known for its International and Turkish cuisine and excellent pizzas.

Aphrodite Restaurant is a must try is the oldest most famous restaurant in town.
For Pubs and clubs, the most famous is the Lighthouse Club, which is an open-air disco that is still open even in the early hours of the morning.
The Royal Castle Pub is a lively and typical Irish pub with live music and food.
