The hotel has three restaurants (one serving Mediterranean, one serving international, and one serving Asian dishes) and three different bars, all on-site. Two of the bars at outdoors (one on the roof and perfect for sunsets, the other by the pool) and the other is located in the lobby. In addition to the pool, there is a "fun centre" with games like pool tables and bowling lanes, a fitness centre, and a spa. The hotel is about an 11 minute drive from the city centre.
Side Beach for August
Side only has two beaches, East Beach, and West Beach. The East Beach is made of up sand and is both long and wide. The beach has numerous facilities and visitors can rent sunbeds and umbrellas here as well. The water at East Beach tends to be rougher than the water at West Beach, but this doesn't stop people from enjoying water sports here.
Things like parasailing and water skiing are popular, as well as more relaxing activities like fishing. Due to the warm weather and the warm sea water, the beach gets very packed during August, so be prepared for crowds. Located just off of the beach is Sunwing Side East Beach Resort and they offer a variety of food options, including full meals, snacks, and desserts. East Beach is just a short walk from the centre of Side and easily accessible by foot.
Bars and Restaurants
If you are in search of some local food, check out Emir Pansion Bistro Café. They offer Turkish cuisine that is homemade and includes things like meat kebabs, steak filets, fresh seafood, and local vegetables. They also offer a fixed price menu with a choice of starters, main course, and dessert for a reasonable price. This restaurant is family run (owned by a couple and their children are the waiters) and provides very friendly service. They also have grapes growing on vines throughout the restaurant and are often served to you after your meal. They are located just two minutes walking from the centre of Side.
The Lush Restaurant and Bar is a unique place in that it is a restaurant, a bar, and a place to sing karaoke and play games. They offer a variety of food, from things like pastas, chicken shish kebabs, and grilled meat served on rice with vegetables. There is also a full bar offering both traditional and signature cocktails, wine, and beer. In addition to karaoke, they also have pool tables and other board games available, like chess or backgammon. This fun place has a little bit of something for everyone and is about a six minute drive from the city centre.
Things to do in Side in August
A great way to relax is by visiting the Keyf Wellness Club. They offer a variety of health and body treatments, such as massages (including nine different options), beauty options (like facials), and a variety of bath options (Roman, Turkish, mud). The club also has a salt room, a sauna, and a swimming pool. They also have a restaurant/bar offering Turkish cuisine, as well as healthy, Mediterranean dishes. Drinks are available as well, including local wines, beers, cocktails, and fresh juices. The club is about a 20 minute drive from Side.
If you are in search of some adventure, while also seeing a different part of Side, try horseback riding. Rides begin at 9 AM, last about an hour, and go through forests that are located outside of Titreyengol, which is about a 17 minute drive from the centre of Side. The well-trained horses can be ridden by people of all ages, including children six years old and up. No prior experience is required and beginners are welcome. A café/restaurant is located at the riding center for food and drink after your ride.
