As summer in Shark's Bay, Egypt starts in June, expect an increase in crowds along with some of the best weather for the year. Things to do
For great family fun try one of the many offerings from Time Tours. With plenty of options, including water sports, safari, snorkelling, diving, historical trips and entertainment, there will be something for everyone's likings. Some of the more popular options include the speedboat (£50 per hour) and tubing (£15 single, £25 double). The speedboat starts by the jetty and heads to Tiran Island with a stop for snorkelling, you will often see dolphins on this excursion as well.
Something you must see while in Shark's Bay is the Dancing Fountain located in the centre of SOHO Square. This free attraction is appropriate for all ages and can get very crowded. There is music and a light show that accompanies the dancing fountain. The show starts on the hour and lasts about ten minutes. Be sure to stick around afterwards as the atmosphere in SOHO square is buzzing.
Hit the beach
Nabq Bay provides one of the best opportunities in the world to explore underwater. A great place for your first dive or your 100th dive, the marine life and coral reef is very unique. This is also a great location for snorkelling and swimming. If you would like a more relaxing time at the beach, pick a lounger and soak up the sun. Make sure to check out the many restaurants and bars in the area.
Eating & drinking out
A fun place for a night out is the Union Jack Bar and Restaurant located in Sharm el Sheikh. This English owned bar has friendly and attentive staff. There is a great choice of English dishes, such as a proper English breakfast, at value prices. The bar shows all live football and rugby matches so you can enjoy your sports with a pint.
If you have a taste for Thai food a great choice is the Sala Thai Restaurant in Sharm el Sheikh. The décor is handmade in Egypt and Italy made to resemble a traditional Thai garden house. With views of the Red Sea, make sure to eat on the two level terrace. Some options include coconut soup, spring rolls and chicken with rice and noodles.
