Autumn has started in September in Sani, with dropping temperatures and increasing rain chances. While the area doesn't see quite as many visitors as it did during the summer months, this is still an excellent time to visit, thanks to smaller crowds and still awesome weather. Compared to August, the daily average temperature drops nearly five degrees, down to 22°C (around 72°F). The high still gets warm and steamy, hitting just around 27°C (about 81°F).
At night, the lows dip down to 17°C (about 63°F), still a nice temperature for being outside, sipping on a cool drink at a local café or restaurant. You might want a light jacket or sweater for nighttime hours. This resort, part of the larger peninsula of Halkidiki, sees an average of 9 hours of sunshine each day. That's more than enough time to enjoy a full day of fun out in the sun. Each day has a 48% chance of being sunny, so bring along the sunglasses and hat to protect your eyes.
The rainfall amounts jump up to 44 mm this month, with that amount falling over 7 days. The chance of rain is 26% and the chance of clouds is 13% each day. Bring along the umbrella or poncho to have on hand, as you'll more than likely have some rain during your stay. Check the local forecast each day before you head out to know for sure what to expect.
You can still get in some swimming this time of the year, with an average sea temperature of 23°C (about 73°F). You won't have to worry about too much wind when you're down on the beach, with an 8% chance of a windy day. The winds that do blow across the area tend to be strongest in the afternoon and die down at night.

All of the rooms come with a full breakfast each morning, air-conditioning, and access to beach towels for the pool and beach. The resort has a private beach, three outdoor and one indoor pool, and on-site restaurants and bars.
Conveniently located in the town of Siviri, Hotel Argo has two different types of rooms to choose from for your September vacation. Couples will enjoy the double rooms, while families will appreciate the two-room apartments for two to four people. You'll enjoy a kitchenette, satellite television, air-conditioning, safe box, and a balcony with views of the town. The hotel has two swimming pools, including one for kids, as well as pool-side restaurant and bar.
The IRIS Hotel sits on a quiet piece of land outside the village of Siviri and has 76 rooms spread over five buildings. The large rooms come with air-conditioning, satellite television, free Wi-Fi, and private bathrooms. You'll also get a private terrace or balcony with views of the gardens or pools. During the day, sit around the pool, let the kids splash around in the baby pool, play a game of tennis, or wander through the beautiful gardens.
Things to Do
Just outside the village of Siviri, the Tzikas Vineyard invites guests to sip on local varieties of wine. You'll get to see the vineyards where the grapes grow, learn about the harvesting process, and take a look at what goes into turning the grapes into wine. The vineyard tour includes a look at the storage facilities and of course, a tasting at the end. You can also purchase the vineyard's wines to take home as souvenirs.
The Agios Nikolaos Church sits all by itself on a small outcropping of land near the village of Agios Nikolaos. From the outside, the unassuming building doesn't make a huge impression, but take a look around and you'll see blue water on one side and green forests on the other. The inside has beautiful wood-carved furniture, murals and artwork, and other religious artefacts and is the perfect activity for a warm September afternoon.
Hit the Beach
Another beach toward the southern end of the peninsula, Golden Beach is large with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy a day in the sun. The beach isn't as popular yet as some of the others in the area, so you can enjoy some peace and quiet. The beach chairs and umbrellas are free, so you can relax in comfort. Take advantage of the still-warm sea temperatures, averaging 23°C (about 73°F), and spend some time in the water.
Perfect Beach Chroussou is a popular spot for visitors in the warm summer months. Thanks to over 290 days of sunshine throughout the year, the beach is popular all year round. Perfect Beach has umbrellas and loungers that are free to use if you purchase food or drink from the beach bar. You can also bring your own, but there isn't a lot of extra space on the sand.
Eating and Drinking Out
