Spring is in full gear in April in Sani, with much longer days and temperatures continuing to jump up as the month goes on. This part of Greece in southeastern Europe gets a full day's worth of sunshine on average, about eight hours of daylight per day. The chance of having a sunny day is 25 percent and the chance of clouds is 30 percent. You'll want to bring along the sunglasses and a hat as you enjoy the plentiful sunshine the area gets.
The daily average temperature this time of the year is 14°C (around 57°F), great weather for getting outside and seeing the beautiful countryside and coastline. At night, the lows drop down to 9°C (about 48°F), so if you'll be outside in the evening hours or early morning, you'll want a jacket or coat. During the warmest part of the day, the highs get up to 19°C (about 66°F), matching the average temperature. Be sure to pack plenty of layers that you can add and take off as the temperatures vary throughout the day.
As for rain, this month sees about 35 mm of rainfall over the entire month. That amount falls over 10 days, so you have a higher chance of having a rainy day during your visit. But, the rain that does fall is generally light and doesn't last long. The chance of rain on any given day is 37 percent so if you forget the umbrella, you'll most likely be fine. Check the local forecast to know for sure what to expect. The etesian winds blow across the peninsula, moderating the heat.
With an average sea temperature of 14°C (about 57°F), the water is still too chilly for much swimming unless you're kitted out in a wet or dry suit. Thanks to the warming daytime temperatures, however, you can at least spend some time down on the beach, walking through the warm sand and soaking in the sun.
Where to Stay

The resort is made up of seven different suites, ranging from the one-bedroom standard suite to the three-bedroom penthouse suite. When you stay here, you're only a short walk from the restaurants and cafes of the town.
Things to Do
Found in the village of Nea Fokea, Saint Paul's Church is actually part of a cave. The outside looks like a traditional church with white stone and a small steeple. Once you go inside, however, you'll be transported to another time with the narrow hallway that leads deep into the earth and the prayer chapel. The pathway is so narrow that most people will have to crawl, so this is not an activity for those with claustrophobia.
Kids will love spending a warm April afternoon at Fun n Golf, a mini golf course near the village of Hanioti. Great for kids of all ages, the center has a good combination of easy and difficult holes. The kids can also play in a ball pit and playground. The adults will appreciate the full bar with a selection of drinks and you can even get snacks and light meals to fill your belly between holes.
