This lively tapas bar has a combination of all the best pintxos so that you can go back again and again and never have to have the same thing. Later in the evening a good jazz vibe ensures everyone feels relaxed. And with the highly attractive bar tenders able to mix almost any drink there is, no wonder so many locals and visitors want to spend their time at Atari Gastroteka.

Unlike other pintxos bars, La Cuchara de San Telmo is only open for a few hours a day. But when it is open it's easy to see why so many people want to eat there. Exceptional flavours and sensational presentation make this one of the best places to eat pintxos in San Sebastian. Especially when you see the price tag! Outstanding value for money and friendly service ensure La Cuchara de San Telmo is popular with people of all ages. For a house speciality try the Octopus or the Cochinillo. Everything is cooked fresh to order, so that you just keep coming back for more.

Dinois is a great little bar in the middle of the old town, the perfect location for a drink and a party. With plenty of seating outside, it is a wonderful place to enjoy your beverage on a warm October day. But when the sun has set, everyone wants to move inside to enjoy the music and join in the fun. Friendly staff and high quality drinks can more than make up for the premium prices. And on weekends, it doesn't matter if you want to stay until the early hours, Dinios only closes when everyone is ready.

The cooler days in October offer the perfect opportunity to visit San Telmo Museoa in the heart of San Sebastian. This dedication to the Basque tradition displays examples of everything from arts and crafts to historical artefacts. Recently renovated, this beautiful museum offers details on every aspect of San Sebastian culture. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of San Sebastian and take a trip to the Cristina Enea Park. This beautiful park has its own information centre and wild peacocks to provide a wonderful place to bring the children or wander through the beautifully maintained gardens as a couple. Donated by the Duke of Mandas, the small play park can keep the kids entertained while you take shelter from the warmer October days under the trees. Watch the swans swimming in the pond or just be amazed by the tranquillity of the place. It's the perfect secluded get away in the middle of all the hubbub.
