What's the Weather like in San Sebastian in July

Temperatures

July is one of the peak summer months in San Sebastian and is one of the most popular times of the year to visit. Though the maritime climate means there will still be some rain during the month, July is the hottest time of the year in this part of northern Spain.

Sunshine Hours

12 hours of daily sunshine provide plenty of opportunity to hit the beach or relish in the many bars and restaurants along the coastal path. And though there will be some cloudy times, the sun is always strong, so suitable protection is definitely necessary.

Average highs of 25°C are to be expected on almost every day in July in San Sebastian. Although temperatures of over 35°C have been experienced during this time, with the highest temperature of 36°C recorded in 2013.

Average lows of 16°C also ensure the nights are very warm in the region providing the perfect climate for the wealth of nightlife enjoyed throughout the area. However with humidity levels reaching 75% in July, air conditioning is a must for any accommodation during the peak season, though the coastal location ensures day time temperatures never feel too uncomfortable.

San Sebastian Beach for July

The world famous La Concha beach is an experience not to be missed by anyone visiting San Sebastian. As one of the most popular beaches in the world, La Concha is never going to be quiet in July. Things to do in San Sebastian in July

It's impossible to visit San Sebastian and not notice the magnificent Monte Urgull which transforms this wonderful landscape. And with an opportunity for a mountain hike up to the top, not only do you get some much needed exercise after all those pintxos, but you also get to see some of the best views in the world. The hike isn't too challenging, which means it is open to children and the older visitor. But it does have some steep areas, so do take the ocean side for a gentler climb. In the day the views are sensational. Or walk up in the evening to watch the sun set. No one should visit San Sebastian without experiencing the beauty of Monte Urgull.

One of the most popular things to do in San Sebastian has to be sailing.
