What's the Weather like in Samana in June
The weather begins to heat up in Samana, just like it does in Bahia Maimon, another resort town in the Dominican Republic. Although the climate is gloriously stable throughout the yearemperatures and sunshine are basically constantune falls in the wetter part of the year.
Rainfall
That said, however; with 64mm of rainfall in total, June is by no means incredibly wet. There are no more than 11 days with some kind of rainfall, meaning, of course, that there are 19 days without a single drop of rain whatsoever. There's no significant variation in the chance of rainfall throughout the montht ranges between 47% and 52%. A testimony to the fact that this is the warmer and more humid part of the year, thunderstorms are now the most common type of rainfall. They occur on 48% of those 11 rainy days. Other, less common, rainfall types are light and moderate rain, which occur on 26% and 23% of those days.
Temperature
In June, high temperatures of up to 31°C are common. The evenings cool down to a much milder, yet still extremely pleasant, 22°C after the sun sets. These temperatures also remain basically constant throughout the month. The overall average temperature is 27°C, which is the annual maximum.
Average Sea Temperature
The sea temperature, too, is more than comfortable this time of year, averaging a delightful 28°C. It's a perfect time to enjoy a dip in the ocean.
Average Sunshine Hours
Although this may be statistically the wetter part of the year, that is not reflected in the number of sunshine hours. Rainfall happens in heavy, but brief downpours and thunderstorms, which always make way for blue skies and sunshine. June is characterised by 9 hours of sunshine per day on average, as sunny as it gets in this resort. The same amount of sunshine is experienced in April, July, August and September.
