Jack Daniel's Place is truly a site to see while on holiday in Salou. The décor is fabulous and tastefully displays anything Jack Daniels. If you're on holiday with kids, don't hesitate to bring them along; children are accommodated as well with colouring while they wait for their food. Booths are roomy, fitting up to six people, and the staff is very friendly. While you're there be sure to try a steak salad and save room for the dime bar cake for dessert. If you're really brave, you'll try the Giant Killer triple burger. Jack Daniel's Place is also said to have the best and biggest ribs in all of south Spain.
Things to do in Salou in December
Santa Maria Del Mar Church
Originally a quaint chapel of worship, Santa Maria Del Mar Church is the oldest temple in the city. Blessed in 1776, this single nave and bell tower was used by sailors for many years. In 1936, it was sacked and alters were destroyed, as well as many scared images and furniture. In 1950, the tower was restored and enlarged with a long cross and a chapel. Murals by Josep Maria Güell were added between 1954 and 1966, as well as a decoration of the baptistery. Another mural in the tower, a depiction of Adam and Eve in Paradise, was done by Joan Garriga in 1964. This church is not just for sightseers; Catholics can attend masses throughout the year both in winter and summer, in Castilian and Catalan.
The Olive Trees Monument
The Olive trees Monumental is certainly worth seeing while in Salou. Located on the Passeign de la Segregacio, you will see monumental olive trees close to a thousand years old. The trees are a part of a larger group of trees referred to as monumental trees. One particular tree is on the street 30 d'Octubre and has a girth of 4.86m and is measured at the height of 9.10m.
