Cala S'Almonia
October is the last month of the year in which to enjoy the local beaches as sea surface temperatures begin to cool off rapidly. Just down from Sa Coma is Cala S'Almonia with its crystal clear water and beautiful views. Popular with the locals, it is great spot for swimming and snorkelling.

Palma Aquarium
With October being the wettest month of the year, now may be a good time to stay indoors. One of the best indoor spots on the island is a short drive from Sa Coma and is the Palma Aquarium. Home to some 8,000 animals from 700 different species, a visit to the aquarium is the perfect family outing. The aquarium holds a total of 5 million litres of salt water and is something everyone should see.
Joan Miro
If the weather is nice, while in Palma take a few hours to visit the studio of Joan Miro, a Catalan painter, sculptor and ceramicist. Guests can see the studio exactly as it was left and also enjoy the stunning land and sea views. There are also gardens to explore as well as a café on site.
