What's the weather like in Sa Coma in December?
December is the start of the winter season and as expected is one of the coolest months of the year. While not as chilly as January and February, visitors will need to bundle up if they are looking to celebrate the festive season in Sa Coma. It can also be one of the wetter months, but if visitors plan ahead, the rain is light enough to not bother too many holiday plans.
Temperature
Temperatures are rather chilly throughout the month with an average daily temperature of 10°C (50°F). The mornings will begin on a cold note with the daily overnight lows of 5°C (41°F). For early risers and those who are staying out late, a heavy jacket is needed, especially if the wind begins to kick up. The average afternoon temperature will climb to 15°C (59°F). The wind can also be a little of an issue during this time of the year and cause temperatures to feel a lot colder than the actual air temperature.
Rain
Rainfall amounts remain high for the month with an average of 44mm expected. Thanks to temperatures staying above freezing, there is no chance of a white Christmas or any frozen precipitation. An average of 14 days will receive some precipitation making almost half of the month experience at least a little rain. With winter coming in, the region will also receive an average of only 6 hours of sunshine per day.
Sea Temperature
Water temperatures during this time of the year are also too cold for visitors to enjoy the water sports offered in the region. Average seawater temperatures are a cool 17°C (63°F). With waters like these, visitors will need to make plans to explore all the land-based sites on the island and around the city. It will be a few more months before water temperatures warm enough for visitors to enjoy on a routine basis.
