Dates for the diary

The Quintana Roo State Carnival is one of the most highly-anticipated events of the year in Riviera Maya and is celebrated just a few days before Easter throughout the resort. This event is fun for the whole family to enjoy and is packed with costumes, processions, music concerts, dancing, games and activities. Don't forget to take your camera you'll be surrounded by photo opportunities.

Many of the locals are very religious and hold fantastic celebrations during Easter. Throughout the whole week you'll have the chance to watch re-enactments and parades depicting important scenes from the bible. Special services are held in most churches across the resort, where you'll also find small market stalls selling Easter crafts, including items woven with palm fronds.

Easter 🛐

This is a six day festival which will include a variety of Mexican and foreign films that will be broadcasted in Playa del Carmen and Tulum. It will be the third year that Riviera Maya has hosted this event.
