Things to do in Puerto Rico in October
Aphrodite Excursion
One of the most popular boat trips in Puerto Rico is the Aphrodite excursion which takes place onboard a luxury super-catamaran. The trip departs from the port and lasts for five hours, during when you can enjoy the services of an experienced multilingual team, buffet lunch and unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks. A must for people who appreciate beautiful scenery, the excursion passes by many of the island's beaches, where you'll have the chance to get off the boat for a dip or some sunbathing. The trip takes place at 10am every day and again at 4pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Mogan Market
The Mogan market takes place every Friday between 9am and 2pm and is a fantastic place to pick up a souvenir to remind you of your stay or some gifts for friends and family back home. Just up from the harbour found at Puerto Rico, this market is very large and is full of stalls offering almost everything you can imagine, including artisan items, jewellery, pottery, Canarian cooking ingredients, handmade tablecloths, clothes and accessories. After you've finished browsing, head into one of the many nearby cafes, shops and restaurants for a drink or a spot of lunch.
