June marks the start of the summer season in Majorca. At this time of the year, Puerto de Pollensa enjoys beautiful weather almost every day, making it an extremely popular month for tourists to visit.

The hotel is located right on the beach at the quieter end of Puerto de Pollensa, offering guests a relaxing stay. Located behind the Hotel Hosposa Bahía, just a few minutes' walk from the beach, are the popular Oro Playa Apartments. The self-catering apartments are equipped with kitchens where you can rustle up your own meals, but there's also a buffet restaurant if you don't feel like cooking. The complex has a large pool and children's entertainment facilities, making it a great choice for families.

Tourists to Puerto de Pollensa in June often take to the beaches where they can take part in activities such as scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing, swimming, and wind surfing. Alternatively, the long, golden beach in the perfect place to relax on a sun lounger and while away the hours while soaking up the sunshine. The main Blue Flag beach stretches around the bay and is fairly wide and flat, with a backdrop of mountains providing a perfect shelter.

There's also a narrower and quieter beach that runs along the Pine Walk which is known as Platja D'Albercuix as is a popular choice with families looking for a more peaceful day on the beach.

There is no shortage of great places to eat and drink in Puerto de Pollensa in June, as restaurants are in full swing for the peak season. La Llonja Restaurant is wonderfully located in the fishing port of Puerto de Pollensa and has a nautical theme, serving a range of fresh local seafood dishes including grilled fish, lobster and paella. The menu of the day includes three courses, wine and coffee for just 32.90. Guests can enjoy dinner al fresco with break-taking views over the harbour.

If you're looking for lunch not too far from the beach, Cafe Bon Dia is located just a few steps away and serves a great range of sandwiches, toasties, snacks and drinks. It is also an internet café so you can catch up on important emails or keep in touch with family back home.

For an evening filled with fun, head to La Batacuda, a late night music pub in Puerto de Pollensa. Popular with holiday makers, it has a fantastic range of stylish cocktails and a lively atmosphere where you can dance the night away.

June can get rather hot, so why not cool off with a day on the sea? Visitors can enjoy a day of sailing around the beautiful bay of Puerto de Pollensa. There are many boat trips available with companies like the Tudor Dawn Charters who offer full day trips, half day trips and sunset cruises. Holiday makers can relax on deck or lower ladders and dive into the sea for a swim.

Tourists can take part in many local celebrations in during June. Corpus Christi Ball de les Aguiles is held on June 17th and involves a colourful procession marked by traditional Majorcan dances. Other fiestas at this time include San Antonio de Jani in mid-June, the Sun Dance festival, and the Sant Pere festival celebrating the patron saint of sailors, organised at the end of month, which culminates in fireworks.

The nice weather in June is perfect for a stroll along the famed Pine Walk on Passeig Voramar, a tree-lined promenade which runs the length of the resort. Visitors can enjoy a morning saunter or an early evening walk with great views of the sea.
