Puerto de Pollensa is a popular holiday resort located in the north of the island of Majorca with long, sandy beaches and a backdrop of mountains.
Winter comes to Puerto de Pollensa in November, bringing with it lower temperatures and shorter days. However, the winter in Puerto de Pollensa is mild like the rest of the island, so visitors can still enjoy a bit of winter sun at this time of the year. The temperatures are still much warmer than back home for most tourists.
Average temperatures in November fall to about 16 or 17°C at the start of the month, dropping further to 13 and 14°C later on. High temperatures have been known to reach 18°C, although they can get as low as 8°C. These lower temperatures normally occur at night, so it would be a good idea to pack warmer layers to wear on an evening in Puerto de Pollensa.
November will see an hour less sun than October, reducing from 6 hours to 5 hours of sunshine a day, but there's still a 45% chance of a sunny day. November has blue skies most of the time, with just a 6% chance of a cloudy day, so holiday makers can enjoy the sun without being left in the shade.

The average sea temperature continues to fall in November, dropping to 19°C. This is still a few degrees warmer than the middle of winter, but most holiday makers will find it a bit too chilly to swim in. If you want to swim in November, it is recommended to find a hotel with a heated pool.

For those looking for comfortable but affordable stay, guests can stay just outside of the resort, in the old town of Pollensa. Hotel Juma is a popular hotel located within the main square in the town centre and offers great prices for rooms. The hotel's seating area on the square is a great place for a coffee or a cold drink while the roof top terrace an hot tub are perfect for relaxing. There's lots to do in the town and the seafront of Puerto de Pollensa is just a 15 minute drive.
While it may be a little too cold to sunbathe in November, holiday makers can still enjoy a stroll along Puerto de Pollensa's wonderful golden beach. Pollensa beach is one of the resorts main attractions and stretches for 1.5km, with wonderful views across the bay to the Tramuntana mountain range.
As winter approaches, many bars and restaurants will start to close for the season, but don't worry there's still a great choice of places to eat and drink in November.
Nostalgia Bar in Puerto de Pollensa is open all year round for visitors. The bar and bistro serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, specialising in char grilled meat and fish dishes. At night, it transforms into an entertainment spot, with live music and karaoke, plus a great selection of draught beers and cocktails.
For a taste of authentic local cuisine, head to Tots Bar and Grill located just one street back from the waterfront. This traditional style restaurant serves a variety of food including tapas, paella and Majorcan dishes as well as some international options. The restaurant has indoor seating as well as an outdoor terrace.
El Casinet is located on Puerto de Pollensa's sea front and offers stunning views across the bay. Holiday makers can soak up the cosy atmosphere inside or relax on the outdoor terrace if the weather allows. The menu includes Mediterranean dishes and some local Majorcan cuisine. El Casinet is open all year round, but closed Thursdays during the winter.
November is not the best time of the year to hit the beach in Puerto de Pollensa, however, there are plenty of indoor activities and events to be enjoyed in the area.
Visitors often choose to visit the old town of Pollensa, which is located only 5 kilometres from the sea front. The town has quaint, narrow streets to explore and buildings dating back the 18th century. There are also plenty of art galleries and museums in the area too, which are a great place to spend a day, such as the Pollensa Monographic Museum. The museum is located inside an old 14th century hospital building in the St. Domingo´s Convent. Visitors can see artefacts that have been excavated from Pollensa include ceramics and jewellery.
Pollensa Autumn Fair is held in November and features interesting art exhibitions, crafts and market stalls. There's also a range of concerts and musical events held throughout the fair which visitors to the town can enjoy.
