Puerto de Pollensa is nestled in a bay in the north of Majorca, just off the coast of Spain, so it enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate all year round. Holiday-makers often make Majorca their choice of spring destination thanks to its abundance of sunshine and pleasant temperatures.

In Puerto de Pollensa, the mild winter that begins in November, and lasts through December to March, is over by April. As spring arrives, temperatures start to rise. The average daily temperature for April is around 14°C. High temperatures can hit 19°C. However the temperature can cool down considerably on an evening, dropping to lows of 8°C, so you may want to think about packing some warmer layers for nights in Puerto de Pollensa.

The days start to last longer in April too, with 7 hours of sunshine a day, giving you plenty of time for sunbathing. There's a 47% chance of a sunny day throughout the month and cloud cover has dropped, with just a 7% chance of a cloudy day. Despite this, Puerto de Pollensa still has its share of April showers, with the chance of rain rising to 25%. There are an average of 11 wet days a month with 39mm of rain throughout April.

At this time of the year, the temperatures may be mild but the sea around the bay of Puerto de Pollensa is still cold, only warming up 1°C from March to 15°C. This isn't the best month to go swimming or try out water sports.

April is a great time for a chilled-out holiday on the beach. Just a few months before the peak holiday season of June to September, there are fewer tourists at this time of the year, so Puerto de Pollensa is the perfect place to go for a relaxed break with the family.
