What's the Weather like in Puerto de la Duquesa in November

Temperature

The last month of autumn brings with it an abundance of rain, as well as lower temperatures and little to no time to spend frolicking in the shallow waters of Puerto de la Duquesa's beaches. The average temperature drops to 17°C, with nights quite crisp at 14°C on the low average.

Humidity

Humidity is relatively high at 75% on average, the warmer days are expected to reach 19°C, and hence November proves to be quite mild, as opposed to other parts of western and even southwestern Europe.

Average Sunshine Hours

The days get shorter, with up to 8 hours of sunlight, and chances of sunny days drop to 22% on average not bad, though, considering that December is just around the corner.

Rainfall

Chances of cloudy days slowly increase to 9% while chances of rainy days stay strong at 28% on average, with rainfall volumes expected to hang around 103mm over the course of 11 days. This is mostly felt throughout the second and third week of November, while the last week experiences some fog and clouds.

Wind

Chances of windy days jump to 19% on average, with wind speeds exceeding 45kmh most of them now blowing from the north and north-east of the continent, colder and stronger than the average. Expect some strong gusts in the early morning, as well as choppy waters and high tides in the afternoon.

Average Sea Temperature

The beautiful Alboran Sea keeps its average temperature low and steady at 19°C, which is not really recommended for swimming and other marine activities, unless you've got a very good neoprene suit and don't mind diving at lower temperatures.

The overall feel for November is mostly concentrated on a hefty amount of precipitation, mixed with cloudy and sunny days, with non-oppressive dew points and a generally mild and warm weather.

The southern coast of Spain doesn't get much in terms of snow or temperatures below 8°C, but as the global warming effect doesn't overlook this part of the continent, some extremes might take even the locals by surprise.

Local Beach

While the temperatures and cold water are not exactly a great time for beach fun and swimming, you can still make your way to some of the stretches of fine sand that line Puerto de la Duquesa. Bars and Restaurants

Sabores Restaurant & Tapas

By far one of the best venues that San Luis de Sabinillas has to offer is Sabores Restaurant & Tapas, specialising in a fine mixture of international and Andalusian cuisine, including fresh fish and seafood.

Perhaps some of the best dishes that one could mention, based on the reviews alone, are the sea bass, the soup of the day and the key lime pie, but the steaks should not be underestimated either. While they close shop for the afternoon, Sabores welcomes the evening travellers with a fine selection of wines and savoury tapas to enjoy, for some very moderate prices.

El Estribo Restaurant

If you haven't had enough of the deep blue sea and would like to enjoy a meal overlooking the sandy beaches of Sabinillas, you can stop by the El Estribo restaurant, a high quality venue that takes great pride in the quality of its steaks and fish. It's not as cheap as regular eateries, but the excellent service and fantastic wines combined with a breath-taking view make it worth every penny.
