What's the weather like in Praia de Luz in April
Mid-spring is a popular time to visit Praia de Luz as this is a time when crowds are at a minimum, but weather is still very mild indeed, and towards the end of the month the mercury rises even further, as summer begins to peek over the horizon a little more. There are many cheap breaks to be found at this time of year, making it even more popular for the bargain-hunters out there who are seeking early sunshine.
Temperature
April experiences an average temperature of around 15°C, which can rise even further to 18°C on those warmer days as an average high, again more likely towards the middle to end of the month. Evenings are a little chilly still, but are getting slightly warmer now the year is progressing, with an average evening low of around the 11°C mark. You will still need a jacket, so remember to take one with you when venturing out.
Sunshine Hours
The sun is certainly beginning to shine a little more now too, and you can expect around 9 long hours of sunshine at this time of year, which is great news for those who want to venture out onto the beach during the warmer days.
Sea Temperature
Despite that, the sea temperature is still hovering around the 15°C mark, which means swimming and water-sports are still going to be a little on the cold side just yet, but this is an improvement on the previous few months.
Rainfall
If you're wondering about the chance of rain, well, it is still possible but it's a little less likely than it was in the previous couple of months, and is reduced down from March's levels. You can expect around 35mm of rain throughout the month, which can affect 11 days overall, however this will be to a small degree, and shouldn't ruin your day out and about around the area.
