The weather is beginning to cool down in October and many of
the main amenities in Porec wind down in preparation for the winter.
With an average high of 19°C and an average low of 11°C,
October is cooler than September but is still warm enjoy to permit outdoor
excursions and activities.
The heat is also bearable enough to take long walks or enjoy
outdoor sports like tennis.
In fact, for many people these temperatures are perfect for
spending time outdoors, as they mean the beach is still an option to work on
the sun tan, but they're not excessive.
If you want hot weather but don't enjoy intense heat, this is a great month to travel to the area.
The sea is on average 3 degrees colder than September, resting at
around 20°C (68°F), but that also
means it tends to be ever so slightly warmer than the temperatures on the
ground.
There are plenty of water sports to be enjoyed in Porec. You can take a boat tour or hire a jet-ski to explore things by yourself, but there are many diving schools in the area that offer beginner classes, meaning anyone can explore the water under the surface.
This not only means being up close and personal with all the sea
creatures that reside there, but also natural beauties like cliffs and caves.
If you're lucky you may even spot one of the famous sunken wrecks on the Istrian
coastline.
Families may well enjoy a stay at the Hotel Laguna Park. The all inclusive hotel is affordable and ideal if you're travelling on a budget and has many facilities to suit those with children.
