Las Palmas
Alternatively, the capital of Las Palmas is just an hour away and offers holiday makers a vibrant contrast to Playa Taurito's tranquil setting. The Cathedral of Santa Ana is a must-see attraction, located in the historical and cultural district of Vegueta. There are also a wealth of high end shops, boutiques, markets and winding streets full of cafés and tapas bars where holiday makers can spend a day.
