Temperature
Summer has arrived and June marks the start of the 18-30 holiday season in the popular Spanish beach resort of Playa del Ingles. Young travellers flock to the town to enjoy the wonderful weather at this time of year. Temperatures average at 21°C, climbing to highs of 24°C and night-time temperatures rarely fall below 18°C.
Average Sunshine Hours and Sea Temperature
The resort has reached a record daytime high of 33°C in June and skies are usually mostly clear. Average temperatures typically rise 2°C from the beginning to the end of the month, while the number of sunshine hours per day stays at eleven hours. Rain and Wind
June is one of the driest months in this southern part of Gran Canaria, along with July and August. In fact, it is very rare that the town sees any rainfall at all during this three month dry season. The landscape can look a little barren during the summer, but on the plus side there's no need to take up room in the suitcase packing raincoats and umbrellas. Wind speeds are usually no more than a breeze, but tend to pick up as the month progresses.
