This is definitely the hottest month of the year, and by hot we mean an average temperature of 25°C (77°F). The nights are quite warm at a low average of 21°C, so chances are you might find the air conditioning to be a good option during your stay in Playa de la Arena. The hotter days are expected to reach 28°C on the high average, so do make sure that you stay hydrated. The humidity is once again low at 70% on average, so you'll definitely be thankful for that ocean breeze.

The days are slightly shorter now, as the yearly cycle reduces them to 10 hours of sunshine, but chances of full-on sunny day are gloriously high at 80% on average, with no hint of rain or clouds expected to spoil anyone's holiday. In fact, the estimated average rainfall is 0mm, so you're most likely to fully experience the tropical dry summer on an Atlantic island from morning until late at night! The skies are blue and clear, and we strongly recommend that you don't forget the SPF lotion, as the sun does tend to burn if your skin is overexposed and unprotected.

Wind speeds are relatively bold at 12mph, with welcoming breezes from the east and south-east, including hot winds from the Western Sahara and Senegal coastlines. Chances of windy days are high at 60% on average again, so while the weather may be hot and dry, the predominant presence of coastal winds will cut off some of the heat discomfort and allow you to bask in the sun. On top of that, the ocean temperature is a perfect 22°C (72°F), excellent for all sorts of aquatic mischief, from swimming and snorkelling to diving, windsurfing and even paddle surfing.
