What's the weather like in Playa Blanca in June

June sees temperatures in Playa Blanca continue to rise things are well and truly starting to hot up.

Playa Blanca Beach for June

Situated in front of the Papagayo commercial centre, Playa Dorada is a large popular beach situated between Playa Blanca town and the Marina Rubicon. This beach boasts golden sand sloping into the clear, calm warm waters, making it a very popular spot for safe swimming. The list of onsite amenities is extensive and includes sun beds, parasols, beach bar, toilets and a wealth of water sports, such as snorkelling, diving, banana boats and pedaloes. With a number of children's play areas found along the beach, Playa Dorada is very popular with families with little ones.

Bars and Restaurants

When it comes to modern European dining, Sebastyan's is one of the best restaurants in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. Overlooking the beach, this eatery serves a variety of Mediterranean-inspired dishes, many of which are based on Greek cuisine. Every dish is cooked to order, so you'll be guaranteed a fresh meal every time. The extensive menu offers plenty to choose from, including warm and cold starters, salads, fish, veal, pork, lamb, beef and chicken, as well as a number of desserts.

The Old Mill Irish Bar is one of the best places to go in Playa Blanca for good old pub grub. Things to do in Playa Blanca in June

Castillo de las Coloradas is a popular place to enjoy an afternoon walk. This castle is set on the edge of a cliff which juts out into the sea and provides stunning sea views that stretch across to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. If you get the chance to visit during sunset, make sure you do. The castle provides a wonderful backdrop against the red hues of the sky and looks fantastic in photos.

Arguably Lanzarote's most popular attraction, Timanfaya National Park is an active natural space, home to a number of volcanoes and other unusual rock formations. Open every day from 9am until 7pm in the summer and 9am until 5pm in winter, this park can be explored as part of an excursion or on your own at your own pace and is only a short drive away from Playa Blanca.

A top site for science and geography enthusiasts, Timanfaya National Park features numerous aspects of scientific, geological and geomorphologic interest, as well as a natural beauty which everyone can enjoy. There is one restaurant in the area called El Diablo which uses the internal heat from the land to cook traditional dishes which have been prepared in Lanzarote for hundreds of years.
