What's the weather like in Pefkos in September

Pefkos is a small but thriving holiday resort located on the coast of Rhodes, the largest of the Greek Dodecanese islands. Every year, tourists are attracted by the beautiful beaches, the traditional Greek culture and the Mediterranean climate that Rhodes is well known for. Summers here are hot and sunny while winters are mild.

Temperature

September marks the end of summer and the transition into autumn. Temperatures are slightly cooler and the whole resort becomes more relaxed as the tourists are starting to leave and the slow paced lifestyle returns to the village.

City of Rhodes

The city of Rhodes is just an hour's drive from Pefkos and makes a great day out for the whole family. The old town dates back to Medieval times and is the most interesting part of the city, with winding cobbled streets that are full of charm and history. Surrounded by walls, there are 8 beautiful gates through which you can enter the city. Inside, you'll find many cultural attractions to enjoy including art galleries and museums, or alternatively, you can spend a day strolling around the shops and dining at one of the traditional Greek cafés or restaurants.

The Palace of Grand Masters

The Palace of Grand Masters was constructed in the 14th century and is located in Rhodes old town. It's a beautiful place to visit for history lovers. It has 148 rooms and 24 are open for visitors to explore. 

Faliraki Water Park

Alternatively, make the most of the lasting warm temperatures and sunshine in September with a visit to Faliraki Water Park.
