Palma Nova is a resort town on Majorca Island in Spain. It is located near Majorca's capital Palma, while on the other side of the town is the famous beach resort of Magaluf. February is considered to be a winter month in Palma Nova and visitors can expect an average temperature high of 14°C (57°F) during the day. It is still chilly in February and visitors will most likely need to bring warm clothing for outdoor activities.

The skies are very cloudy, with 44% chance of coverChance of precipitation is around 34%, with more chance of moderate rains earlier in the month. The air ranges from mildly humid to very humid, rarely dropping below 41%, as is drier later in the month. Winds blow up to 7 m/s, usually from the southwest or northeast.

Over the course of February, temperatures stay relatively the same, with highs of 14°C and lows of 4°C. The days gradually grow longer, brighter as drier as the month progresses.

The Montenova Apartments are a great budget option that allow you the flexibility of self catering. The apartments are located minutes from the beach and the downtown area and are close to Magaluf, for those tourists who want to visit the town and take advantage of the nightlife. Located in a quiet area though, they're ideal for families and older travellers too.

Intertur Hotel Hawaii Mallorca & Suites (Calle Torrenova 1) is a resort for families and couples. All-inclusive or half-board plans are available. All rooms include a flatscreen TV, free wifi, A/C, heating, and safe. Some of the premium rooms also include a game system for the kids. A children's Miniclub is available for kids 4 to 12 years. Onsite facilities include pools, buffet-style restaurant, terrace, gym, and pool bar.

If you want to take advantage of the nearby attractions of Magaluf, the TRH Palmanova Hotel is located close to the strip in Magaluf. It's an ideal base for younger tourists who want to take full advantage of the nightlife. The hotel is designed for the budget-minded individual, and is well-located near the main shopping strip. Prices are decent and the swimming pool is a good alternative to the beach.

Palma Nova is famous for its Paseo Maritimo Coastal Promenade, where both locals and tourists can walk and enjoy the scenery and at the same time check out the long line of souvenir shops and stores parallel to the beach. The beaches of Palma Nova are just a short 15 km west of the airport. The sands tend to be quieter and more tranquil than those in Magaluf.

There are three beaches beside the town--Playa Carregador, Playa Palma Nova and Playa Son Maties. Alongside all beaches are restaurants, bars, shops and free car parking.

The former is a 600-metre stretch of fine sand, good for enjoying water activities like boating or windsurfing. The latter is where you can find all the bars and nightclubs. Playa Palma Nova is a nice middle ground, at 1 kilometre interspersed with small playgrounds. It's a great place for families and couples alike.

One of the main things to enjoy on a trip to Palma Nova is dining out. There are plenty of different cuisines on offer, including many traditional Spanish tapas bars.

The Chi Lounge (Playa Son Matias) is a trendy place to grab a cocktail on your summery holiday. The vibe is relaxed, the food Asian fusion. Definitely a stop for any beach-goer who likes to hang out in hip company.

The Welsh Mosquito (Playa Son Matias), a British-style bar next to the famous Chi Lounge, is a friendly tavern with great views of the beach. There's a variety of international cuisine here--be sure to try the grilled meats or the lasagna.

Aside from good food, shopping sprees are another activity enjoyed by many visitors to Palma Nova in February. There are plenty of small shops and boutiques parallel to the beach front but the best shopping experiences can be found a little further inland at the capital, Palma de Mallorca.  Theme parks are also a popular option with tourists and locals of all age, with Marineland and Golf Fantasia two of the biggest.
