October is when the change in season makes itself known.
With Newquay being a coastal town, though, its climate is noticeably milder than the rest of England, so October tends to be warm enough to still enjoy leaving the house.
October also has its fair share of events taking place. In the beginning of the month is the Lownder Peran Festival, which is a Celtic celebration of the history and heritage of Cornwall.
The festival is made up of workshops, markets and concerts. There's also a Halloween Night Party which takes place around Halloween night itself, and this is an event held at the Newquay Zoo it's entrance with tickets only, so don't forget to purchase some.
At the end of the month and spilling into November is Roseland Festival, which has film, music and dance-related events on the Roseland Peninsula, located approximately 31 miles from Newquay.
For cheap accommodation on your break, try the Hotel Sunnyside. Te budget hotel is situated right in the centre of Newquay and is a perfect choice for younger tourists on holiday with friends or on a stag or hen do.
