Temperatures in March begin to climb higher and the month is jam packed with things to do.

New Orleans most famous son, the playwright Tennessee Williams has a dedicated festival with lectures, performances of his works and walking tours.

The middle of the month sees the Louisiana Sportsmen's Shows enter the city. There are hundreds of booths dedicated to hunting, fishing and sailing, as well as many special offers and discounts available.

No one does St Patrick's Day like the Americans, and on March 17th there is a lively parade that winds through the French Quarter.

For families, the Children's World's Fair is run by the Louisiana Children's Museum, and includes food, music, games and crafts from all around the world.

Spring is celebrated with the Bloomin' on the Bricks festival, with arts, music, and tours of New Orleans' famous gardens.

And the Strawberry Jam 'n Toast to the Arts Festival is an eclectic music festival with dance performances and workshops for children.
