February in New Orleans is slightly warmer and less wet than January.

There are loads of events taking place in February.

The Zulu festival at the beginning of the month is part of the ongoing Mardi Gras celebrations, and features live entertainment and food.

For flower lovers, the Antique Rose Sale takes place in the middle of the month at the Botanic Gardens in City Park.

Around the same time the New Orleans boat show sees a flotilla of vessels enter the city, and there are also fishing demonstrations and the chance to do some scuba diving. 

For car lovers the Dallas Autorama rolls into town and displays all types of vehicles, from vintage models to the latest sports cars.

February is also Black History Month, so there are many different screenings, exhibitions and celebrations across the city.
